700 acres in the Wellness Way area of Clermont was recently purchased by GT Homes USA which is a partnership between two of Canada’s best known builders Greenpark and Treasure Hill.
Not much is known about development plans for this 700 acres which will be intersected by the new Orange/Lake Connector Toll Rd. The land was purchased without entitlements which is the legal process by which a developer or landowner gains all necessary approvals for a real estate development plan.
Site plans were recently submitted giving a clue as to what may happen with a large portion of the property. A local builder submitted plans detailing a community built over 400+ acres of this land primarily north of the proposed Lake/Orange Connector Toll Road. This new community would have a few sections including an all ages neighborhood, a gated 55+ neighborhood, and a section with townhouses just south of the new toll road.
